Brian Rothman, MD Assistant Professor, Department of Anesthesiology Medical Director, Access & Administrative Operations Medical Director, Perioperative Informatics Medical Director, Radiology/VUH1 Anesthesiology Services Back by popular demand, Dr. Brian Rothman will be participating on the Panel at this event! Dr. Rothman was a speaker in 2011 and shared his success story with the implementation of Agile at Vanderbilt. Brian's team received training on Agile, implemented it quickly in their organization and produced outstanding results in a very short amount of time. Dr. Rothman will be representing a Sponsor’s perspective on Agile.
Jon Terry is Chief Operating Officer of LeanKit. Prior to joining LeanKit, Jon held a number of senior IT positions with hospital-giant HCA and its subsidiary HealthTrust Purchasing Group. During that time he was among those responsible for launching HCA’s widespread adoption of Lean/Agile methods. Jon earned his Global Executive MBA from Georgetown University and ESADE Business School in Barcelona, Spain. He is a Project Management Professional and a Certified Scrum Master. Jon will be a Vendor’s perspective on Agile.
Douglas Styler is currently the AVP of Software Development for Supply Chain Systems at HCA IT&S. He has been involved in software development for over 10 years in positions ranging from Business Analyst to Project Manager to Functional/Product Manager. He was involved in HCA in the development IT&S of standardized RUP based SDLC methodology. For the past two and a half years, his group has been adopting and maturing SCRUM/Agile/Lean development methodologies. Douglas will be representing a Product Owner’s perspective on Agile.
Benny Baggott is a Senior Applications Manager and Certified Scrum Master at Ingram Content Group. He has been in software development for over 25 years, holding a variety of IT positions in for several local companies. For the last three years he has been leading the transition of Ingram Book Company from a traditional Waterfall methodology to an Agile framework utilizing Scrum with XP engineering practices. While acting as Scrum Master for his own team, he is involved in training, coaching, and evangelizing Agile principles to other applications managers, executives, and business units throughout his company. Benny will be representing a Developer’s perspective on Agile
Girish Jayaram is a Sr. Quality Engineer in the Software Quality Assurance Department at Omnicell, Inc. He has worked in various levels of Software Testing and Quality Assurance with over thirteen years of Information Technology (IT) and business management experience. Girish is PMP Certified, a Certified Scrum Master, and ISTQB – Certified Tester, Foundation. Girish will be representing a Quality Assurance perspective on Agile.
