First of all I would like to thank the Technology team of Rusty Thompson, Pankaj Soni, Anil Sawhney, Vikas Jain and Matt Kenigson for the excellent job they did on the PMI Nashville web site. It is truly an honor to work with such an excellent group of professionals. Great job everyone!
Each year we all make resolutions to try and improve ourselves. Sometimes it is to lose weight, become more healthy, take more vacations, or to learn new skills. Recently, PMI Nashville offered both Certified Scrum Master and Certified Scrum Product Owner courses. PMI Global also offers a Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP) certification now in addition to the other certifications already in place.
We are also glad to announce that in March of 2012, PMI Nashville has also partnered with Becker Professional Education to offer a PMP Exam Prep class. If you are looking to earn your PMP certification, you should look into this course. Registration and more information can be found in this entry.
Our Communities of Practice team has been really busy as well this month. The Agile CoP held a panel discussion where various roles where talking about what Agile means to them. In February, the PMO CoP will hold an event title "Introduction to a PMO Challenge". If your company has a PMO or is starting a PMO, be sure to register for this event.
