PMI Nashville - Workshop on Practical Risk Management
Everyone talks about Risk, but applying the tools and techniques usually takes a back seat to all of the other daily PM activities. Practical Risk Mangement offers a full day of risk management principles, tools, techniques, AND practical ways to apply them immediately!
The session agenda includes: Intro to Risk, Identifying Risks, Risk ID tools, Risk Registers, Qualifying Risks, Probability and Impact Matrixes, Quantifying Risks and Monte Carlo, Risk Responses, Risk Owners and Risk Action Owners, The Value of Simulation, and Risk Reporting. Join us for this interactive session, and apply the lessons on your next day at work!
About the Presenter: Bob Mahler brings 20 years of Project Management experience to his role as an instructor and is a former U.S. Army Green Beret. Bob consulted at the Department of Homeland Security HQ and at TSA where he focused on tactical wireless and disaster planning. He also led personnel to the Virginia Tech Shooting, Hurricane’s Katrina, Rita and Wilma and the Greensburg Kansas Tornado.
Bob is an active volunteer for the Washington, DC and Nashville PMI chapters. He holds a B.A. in Organizational Leadership from Wheeling Jesuit University, and an M.B.A. in Technology Management from the University of Phoenix. Bob and his family live in the Nashville, TN area.
